To live small does not need to be cramped or uncomfortable. The key is to think multi-purpose designs which allow you to work, sleep and dine in the same space effortlessly.
A great example is the new adjustable Occa 3200 table in black-stained oak veneer with brushed steel legs. Use it as a great-looking coffee table, raise it for a TV snack or set it at the highest position and use the built-in extension leaf and it is a perfect and elegant dinner table for up to 8 people. Dining chairs takes up space but with the new Oslo folding chair you get a solution which not only is easy to set aside but also is a great design piece and truly comfortable.

The new mobile cabinet from BoConcept offers good space in the huge drawer or on the deep shelves and when you flip the top board open you have a small dining space or a workplace to sit with your laptop. The wheels makes it easy to move around so you can place it up against the wall for daily use and pull it out as a bar desk for a party with friends.

Another great solution for storage is the storage bed. Just tilt it open and be amazed of how much room you have for the stuff you don’t need right now. With a beautiful bead spread and some big pillows you can even use the bed as a sofa. For your sleeping needs you can also take the idea of the sofa that turns into a bed. The new Seca sofabed is an elegant sofa during the day and at night you can turn the back down and use it as a small double bed. Taking a break at home – the new 2012 collection from BoConcept

In a time where everything is still uncertain our homes grow more important to us. It is at home we find security and balance and it is at home we can take a break and decide what is important to us. The new 2012 BoConcept collection of design furniture and accessories has everything you need to take a break. The collection is now available in BoConcept stores in more than 50 countries.

Inspired by the outdoors
The materials for the new collection are found in nature like the sofa in thick, luxurious leather. There is a new softness in the look – the rounded corners of the voluminous armrests in combination with leather that calls for a relaxed and cozy atmosphere. The same soft lines appear in the dining chair - a refined and expressive piece of design with oak legs and a choice of plain or upholstered seat. The round shapes of the black dining table, the coffee table with glass top and the crisp side tables complement the warm and laidback look.

Wood dominates and colours are subtle and inspired by the 70’s with a palette of browns and greys. The gorgeous moss green in the handmade rug spices up the room without taking all the attention. To prevent the look from being too dark and heavy, white- and glossy surfaces are used as an injection of brightness.

The accessories can be mixed and matched for your personal style. Elegant cushions made from vintage saries or fun coloured ones with 70’s inspired prints give you lots of opportunities. Add a funky lamp with an industrial look or go for the natural with the Woody floor lamp. Top it all off with some playful accessories like a pink horse in acrylic, a blue glass vase or a candle holder with the shape of a gigantic thread spool.

Make your home tell the story of the people who live there. BoConcept gives you lots of choices to build rooms that not only express who you are but also are functional and inviting and offers you space to relax, to party, to play, to be you.

The new collection will be in the stores from September 2011 and featured in the new 164-page Design catalogue. Get the catalogue for free at your local BoConcept Brand Store, which you will find at www.boconcept.com.

Alveo Land Unveils a New Tower of Cosmopolitan Living - LERATO

The Lerato has been anticipated to complement the
dynamic Makati lifestyle with its amenities and retail establishments.
When Alveo Land first introduced the residential concept of The Lerato at the northern side of the Makati Business District (MCBD North,) it brought with it the ideals of a lifestyle strongly anchored on retail ease and convenience.

Now, a little over a year since its launch, ALVEO is now unveiling its second tower—a 24-floor building set to mirror the same ideals that its predecessor introduced, while, strengthening the retail component built within The Lerato’s unique masterplan.

The Lerato is the residential ideal that has risen from this concept—and when its first tower was launched in 2010, it marked the steady fruition of Ayala Land’s vision to define an integrated live-work-play lifestyle for its denizens.
With 91% of Tower 1 already sold out, the launch of Tower 2 is a clear demonstration of the demand the real estate market has for residential options within this burgeoning district.

“From the beginning, The Lerato was envisioned and designed to converge residential and commercial elements, reflecting and complementing the creative and dynamic feel of the MCBD North,” says Jennylle Tupaz, Alveo Land’s Group Head for Project Development. “As part of its masterplan, the ground floor of the development will be designed to house a diverse mix of retail and dining options that adds to the equity of this booming cosmopolis.”

Shops at The Lerato will be a multifaceted locale, home to quaint boutiques and specialty dining destinations that are complemented by a variety of galleries, art spaces and lush green parks. It will showcase 2,800 sq.m. of diverse retail discoveries, inherited from the creative energies surrounding this district. Reminiscent of The Shops at Serendra -- a prominent lifestyle district by Ayala Land at Bonifacio Global City – the project aims to provide its future residents with the ease of having access to shops and restaurants and being adjacent to Makati’s independent art, music, and lifestyle scene.

The Lerato has been anticipated to complement the dynamic Makati lifestyle with its amenities and retail establishments. The development will boast of well-designed amenities that create a balance of features defining the cosmopolitan lifestyle, including a music and theater room for a night of leisure, and a landscaped roof deck to see the astounding views of the Makati skyline. Outdoor amenities, on the other hand, like the adult and kiddie pool areas, open lawns and a jogging trail, will cater to those in search of more
active pursuits.

Indeed, as the northern district carves a niche for itself in the city, The Lerato will redefine cosmopolitan living in the country’s most prominent business district.
