Luminox and Rudy Project partners with PPSA

Not too many people know that the Philippines has actually been making waves and winning in major shooting competitions here and abroad.  In fact, quite a number of Filipino shooters have been doing the country proud by consistently bagging the top three places in many international competitions. 

2013 marks another year when the country’s top shooters will once again show their wares by competing in the prestigious Australasia Handgun Championship to be held at Rotorua, New Zealand.  The said competition, held every three years, is officially sanctioned by the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC).  The IPSC is the administrative body that develops and regulates practical shooting worldwide.  Currently, the IPSC has more than 70 regions divided into six distinct zones, which includes:  Africa; Australasia; Europe; Pan-America; North America; and South America. The Philippines is included in IPSC's Australasian Zone and is under the auspices of the Philippine Practical Shooting Association (PPSA), the national governing body or organization that promotes, develops, and regulates the practical shooting sport in the Philippines.

Just recently, the PPSA announced the start of the search for the top shooters who will be representing the country in Australasia 2013.  The PPSA will be holding nine qualifying matches and one confirmation match in making their selection.

       

Together with PPSA, Luminox and Rudy Project, both world-renowned brands, will be partnering with the said organization to become the official timepiece and official eyewear respectively, of the country’s representatives in the Australasia Handgun Championships in 2013.
